Default Coaching Plan
Executives, coaches and managers can create coaching plans from the Dashboard tab. Execs and coaches can access the Coaching Plan Wizard by selecting Create Coaching Plan under the search bar.
Managers can access the wizard within the Summary page under Recommended Coaching.
Select the coaching button to begin. The default wizard shows six fields that are required for the coaching meeting. Ad-hoc coaching sessions are not available at this view. Hover over to Calls tab > Call Card > Coach Now to create a one-time meeting.
The following options are available at this view:
Coach: This person can be the manager themselves, a trainer or another subject matter expert that can provide additional insight on a particular skill.
Rep: The user that is receiving the coaching plan. Only one rep can be selected per each coaching plan.
Coaching Session Type(s): Allows execs to customize coaching workflow by setting up different questions that can be asked during a coaching meeting.
Skill(s): The skill that will be coached in the coaching plan.
Meet on: The date and time of the coaching meeting.
Recurrence: The number of times the meeting is taking place.
The default plan will trigger email notifications to both the coach and recipient. The default requirements are for the recipient to add 1 relevant call for the coaching plan. Click Create to save the coaching plan.
Advanced Coaching Settings
Select Switch to advanced settings to customize the coaching plan. The Coaching Plan Wizard will appear, walking the user through 8 steps to set up a plan.
Step 1: Recipient
This widget indicates what rep is receiving the coaching plan. Only one rep can be selected at this step.
Step 2: Coach
This person can be the manager themselves, a trainer or another subject matter expert that can provide additional insight on a particular skill.
Step 3: Scheduling
Similar to Outlook's and Gmail's Recurring Event, coaches can schedule recurring meetings for any coaching plan. Choose the weekly interval, the days of the week the meeting occurs (multiple days can be selected), and the end date of the coaching plan. Select Never to keep the session going indefinitely. Coaching Plans can be cancelled at any time.
Step 4: Duration
How long each individual coaching session in the plan will last. Duration options are in 15 min increments. Mark the duration of the meeting to finalize this step.
Step 5: Meeting Type
The location for each coaching session. Options include in person (with the ability to specify the location), by phone or web conference, or other. Selecting No Meetings Required indicates that the session will only take place asynchronously through ExecVision and a calendar invite won't be sent.
Step 6: Content
What skill will be coached in the coaching plan. The skill being addressed is available for the following role types:
- Executives can hover over to Dashboard > Coaching Plans > Active Plans widget.
- Managers and Coaches can find the skill by hovering over to Dashboard > Coaching Plans.

The platform will automatically suggest which skill to focus on in a given coaching plan based on individual rep scorecard performance.
For example, the platform identified Alon's biggest challenge as the skill “Pre-Call Research.” The system analyzes Alon's performance across all scorecard grades submitted and determines the area in which Alon needs the most development.
The next step is to set a targeted goal for the rep in their coaching plan. The scale illustrated in this step highlights the rep's team average, the rep's current average and pre-set default goal of 75%. Slide the orange target marker to a specific value to indicate the targeted goal.
+Add a secondary skill to coach allows for additional coaching parameters. Only two skills can be worked on at a time per Coaching Plan.
The Custom skill option provides a text field for more specific coaching sessions. This option accounts for sessions that are not associated with a scorecard skill.
Step 7: Objective
Summarize the goals of the coaching session and provide a title for tracking purposes.
Step 8: Review Meeting Agenda
Design a coaching rubric that doesn't rely on calls in the platform. This is for instances where live listening program takes place.
Coaching Meeting Types can be designed by the executive in the Settings > Build tab.
Select "Present skill questions from an applicable scorecard?" to use questions from scorecards related to the skill during the Coaching Meeting. The results of the questions will affect the Skills & Weaknesses widget within the Dashboards.
Select "Present a generic skill question" to use the generic questions around the skill to keep the coaching insular and not affecting coaching metrics outside of the Coaching Plan.
Step 9: Review Preparation
Specify what the coach and the rep need to do prior to each coaching session. Designate the number of calls that need to be added, commented or scored. Calls added to the coaching plan need to highlight the specific skill being coached during the plan.
Select Save to finalize the Coaching Plan.
